Grierson's Limited was borne out of the 33 year
employment the founder, John Grierson Dobie held with
what was The Law Society, developed into The legal Aid
Board and, as of 2001, is now The Legal Services Commission.
From 1994 until 1999 John acted as a Consultant to legal
firms seeking accreditation to the Law Society and Legal
Services Commission quality management standards.
The development of the first version of Grierson's Office Manager began in 1996 and since then
the file management software has been fully integrated with ITALAX a legal accounts software package developed in Dublin and now the largest client based software for lawyers in The Republic. In the intervening period the software has been amended to suit the North American market and has been translated into the French and Chinese language.
Grierson’s Office Manager was developed following
the concept of quality management standards as proposed
by The Law Society in its Lexcel Practice Management
Standards and The Legal Services Commission with its
Franchise and Contract quality Standards. Subsequently
the file management software of Grierson’s was
integrated with ITALAX a legal accounts software package.
The software has since been amended to suit the North
American market and has been translated into the French
and Chinese languages. The software is therefore now
available for those legal markets where the business
language in English, French and Chinese (Cantonese and
Mandarin).
